Mr Alistair Burt, today visited Linguaphone Algeria’s language training centre in Algiers in his capacity as Minister for Middle East and North Africa.

The four-storey Linguaphone training centre in the centre of Algiers has 18 well-equipped purpose-built training rooms, computer adaptive placement testing terminals, a conference room, a multimedia room and an internet-based examination test centre.

In 2007, IN-tuition was appointed as the official partner for Linguaphone Algeria by the Linguaphone Group, a world-leading language training provider with over 200 language training centres worldwide.

Since then, IN-tuition have been delivering Linguaphone’s fully integrated Direct English language programme to a range of corporate clients both at their centre and in-company, providing the Algerian market with a highly flexible and adaptable learning system for all their English language training needs. They have 35 full-time staff and over 100 consultants serving more than 1,000 students a month from a range of different public and professional backgrounds and take pride in building long-term working relationships with corporate clients from a variety of commercial and industrial sectors.

The Minister toured the centre with Mr Sofiane Chaib, Managing Director and partner of Linguaphone Algeria with his wife and partner Mrs Gayle Cooper-Chaib.  After meeting some of the students and teachers there, he spoke to the press about how providers of first-class English language training like Linguaphone Algeria were helping to increase the ‘pool’ of qualified English speakers in the job market, which in turn will attract UK businesses to invest in the country and create future employment opportunities.

Commenting on the visit, Mr Chaib said:

“The Minister’s visit today highlights the importance of English language training in Algeria. English is increasingly seen as the global language of communication, and in today’s global business environment, understanding English is key to business success.”

“Through our Linguaphone language centre in Algiers, our new Linguaphone centre in Oran and a third scheduled for Constantine in May 2013 we are now well placed to service the growing demand across Algeria for internationally recognised English language courses and systems. This, combined with the need for accredited English qualifications in the Algerian market, will further reinforce our position as one of the leading private-sector providers of English language training across Algeria.”
